How to Find The Perfect Fit

How to Find The Perfect Fit

There are lots of great Virtual Assistant businesses out there, so how do you choose which virtual assistant is best?

No two Virtual Assistants are the same. Taking the time to find the VA who really understands you and your business means the right partnership is well worth the investment.

Never worked with a Virtual Assistant before? When searching for your perfect match, look for someone who can clearly articulate who they are, how they work and who they help. This is how you’ll get a feel for the skills, services and style that are the right fit for you and your business.

Here are your ‘need to know’ things about me.

Who I Am

I’m a lifelong administrator and someone who thrives on bringing calm and order to chaos.

My talent for admin and organisation was honed throughout my career. After graduating with a degree in Philosophy and Criminology I worked first in the travel industry and have subsequently lived, worked and travelled in more than sixty countries. I then transitioned to working in higher education and have enjoyed varied and interesting admin roles in world-leading universities.

I now combine my Virtual Assistant work with volunteering as a Board member with a local community-led housing group. I’ve also recently completed researching clutter and decluttering for my MA in Anthropology.

How I Work

I’m based in Darlington which is close to Durham in the North of England and work almost entirely online. Taking into account covid-secure working practices, I can also be available for occasional in-person work including meetings and minute-taking. Mostly, however, I find remote working is fantastic for supporting my clients in an efficient and flexible way.

Every client is different so I take an evaluative approach to finding the right solutions to banish your admin woes. When you work with me, we begin with a conversation. You’ll tell me the story of your business helping me understand where you are now, where you’d like to be and the operational obstacles that are blocking your way.

You can choose the level of support you’d like to receive - I can recommend a bespoke admin plan and then help you implement it. Or if you prefer to delegate tasks I can take care of your admin workload on an ongoing basis. It’s entirely up to you.

My ultimate aim is to help my clients carve out more time in the day and ease the stress of an overwhelming workload. To put it simply, being good at what I do helps create the time and space for others to be good at what they do.

Who I Help

I help busy businesses, organisations and community groups who want to take back control of their admin. I work mostly with small businesses - especially sole traders - as well as other groups and organisations for whom admin has become a challenge.

I’m very values-driven in my work and am drawn to clients and causes whose values align with my own. People and projects connected with community, sustainability and education are all high on my list of dream clients. I also enjoy bringing order to disorder so clients that struggle with digital clutter and with organisational systems will find a friend in me!

So, what do you think - are we the perfect match? If you’re stuck in an admin hole get in touch to find out how I can help.
